Hello,

Huge news today from our Ribbon-Cutting Department: Staff Corner is alive, well, and waiting for you to explore!

Read all about it below. Here’s how to get started:

So what is this place?

Staff Corner is your hub for instruction, operations, and communication—everything you need for a successful summer. Custom-built to make life easy for you, accessible on any mobile device, Staff Corner arranges important information for ready consumption and quick reference. And guess what, Staff Corner is mobile friendly! (Except for iD Game Plan and Pulse Reports, which were built in different platforms.)

Where do I start?

We are asking you to set aside plenty of time to learn about your Staff Corner resources. The best way to do this is to start on your Tasks under Before Camp. If you accomplish everything on those lists, you'll be well prepared by the time you reach iD Tech.

You’ll get a strong sense of what your week will look like by reviewing the Sample Tasks and some inspiring
videos our stellar staff have created over the years. The nitty gritty details of operations will come later. As your Onsite Orientation nears, you’ll find your Tasks populated with calendar driven, personalized and trackable checklists—the what, how, and who, specific to your responsibilities.

What’s most important for Instructors?

Instructors, you’ll also need to spend some quality time with iD Game Plan—our online learning system—absorbing the course material and planning how to incorporate the tools and resources into your teaching. We’re still making minor curriculum updates and refinements, but don’t let that stop you from conquering all modules of all courses listed in your Preferences in your Job Account. **Note: If Game Plan is not opening for you, make sure your browser will allow its pop-ups.

Own that curriculum! Download Trial Course Software if you need it, and practice by building a couple projects that would impress students. Teach a few friends the material to make sure you really have it down. Time will go quicker than you think, and there are many people whose success is tied to yours. Your grasp of this stuff will add up to the Best Summer Ever—for you, for your team, and most importantly for your students.

What’s most important for Management Staff?

Directors, Assistant Directors, and Health & Safety Coordinators will also need to think—Safety first! Grab a coffee and start reading this important material now. It may seem like a lot to digest, but it’s your highest priority and extremely helpful.

PULSE Reports is the secured area for information on your students and staff: rosters, reports, and helpful applications. You’ll have access to PULSE 21 days before your first scheduled work assignment. Once you do have access, you'll want to explore thoroughly to learn the tools of your trade.

What resources will we use on-site?

Tech Guides will provide you with the support needed to run the technical side of your location. Activities are the greatest resources for amping up the energy and fun. Pick out some games you’ll want to try with your students.

Want to start socializing with 1300 of the greatest minds of our generation NOW? The Forums are ready and waiting for you to collaborate, corroborate, and coagulate. Got questions? Ask here to get perspectives from peers at other camps, Curriculum Developers, and the Operations Team. Got great iDeas? Share your fresh new activity, teaching strategies, software suggestions, memes, and more. Our Forums put the FUN in functional!

Where can I find other resources?

After you’ve consulted your team, Director, and Manager, the Help Desk is another resource where anyone can request any type of help. Did your Forum post stump everybody? Is something just not working right? Turn to the Help Desk. We’ll do our best to respond quickly with the answers you need.

The Index is link central—an immense hoard of handy forms, handouts, and videos. Looking for something? We bet it’s here. Note: Documents, links, and videos will continue to be updated through May.

So what happens next?

Your Manager will be making staff assignments soon. You’ll receive an email notification when you’re first scheduled and whenever your schedule changes. Thirty days before your first day of work, you’ll be able to review your current Work Schedule by logging in to your Job Account. Your Work Schedule is subject to change based upon registration shifts, staffing adjustments, and bow tie malfunctions.

Who's ready for the best job ever? You will be with the help of Staff Corner!

See you out there!
